Below are a few words of thanks from a few of these hardworking, life-saving organizations:

“Thank you for your generous $5,000 donation to Legacy. Your support means so much to us. My young son and his grandmother recently attended a performance of PETER PAN here in Dallas. My mother said my son was transfixed and then delighted to meet cast members in the lobby after the show. I will let him know how the actors also helped make possible BC/EFA’s wonderful kindness for our community. Over the past six years we have expanded from 60 annual clients to over 750. The work we do wouldn’t be possible without the help of people like you all at BC/EFA and in the theatre community who believe in humane and supportive help for people with AIDS and their families. Thank you.”

LEGACY COUNSELING SERVICE / Dallas, TX

“As public funding for AIDS services continues to diminish, BC/EFA’s continued support has become increasingly vital to our food and nutrition programs. Please extend our thanks to all those on Broadway and in theatres across the country whose efforts make this $5,000 grant possible.”

AIDS SUPPORT GROUP of CAPE COD / Provincetown, MA

“With all BC/EFA does, you probably don’t know how valuable the $2,500 award is to us. This grant enables us to continue providing personal care items no client can afford, as well as underclothing and laundry services so critical but often so difficult to fund. Thank you.”

SAFE HAVEN / Thomasville, GA

“Thank you once again for the $5,000 grant to support our Home-Delivered Meals Program. Since 1995, BC/EFA has donated $63,500 to help us realize our mission. Your $5,000 grant will provide 2,000 meals delivered to the doors of our clients – a nutritious meal that also comes with the message that someone cares. Again, thank you for your contribution to the fight against AIDS and hunger.”

COMMUNITY SERVINGS / Roxbury, MA

“The timing of BC/EFA’s $5,000 grant could not have been better. So many of our clients have recently received cuts in their food stamp allowance due to “flat-funded budgets” – and as you may know, you cannot purchase personal hygiene items with food stamps. Thank you. We promise that every dollar will be spent making a difference in people’s lives.”

THURSDAY’S CHILD / Patchogue, NY

“Thank you for BC/EFA’s support of our Emergency Fund. We are now serving more people than ever and use this fund to keep people on their feet during periods of crisis – which are often magnified in our rural area where there are few resources.”

CATSKILL RURAL AIDS SERVICES / Oneonta, NY

“ Thank you BC/EFA for the $5,000 grant to our food pantry. Our pantry does not have a steady funding stream, so we are especially grateful for helping us continue our efforts to provide healthy food to our clients and their families.

AIDS COMMUNITY SERVICES / Buffalo, NY

“Thank you for the $5,000 award for our “independent living skills” program. This invaluable program offers participants the opportunity to learn the practical skills they need to live healthy, stable, productive lives as part of our community, as they live with an HIV/AIDS diagnosis.”

AFRICAN SERVICES COMMITTEE / New York, NY

In 28 rounds, from 1988 through July 2005 – BC/EFA has distributed $25,725,000 through its National Grants Program.
